We found art in the storefronts of Seattle.
We found extraordinary art at Chihuly Garden and Glass.
We found art that was a ceiling of blown glass.
We found art that was expressive and instructive.

We found art in gardens.
We found art when we looked up.
We even found art when we looked down.
We found art in the grassy parks.

We found art that somehow included the Space Needle.
We found art with important messages on hidden garden walks.

We found buildings that looked like gigantic works of modern art.

We found art on the supports of the Seattle Monorail.
We found artistic design elements in the interiors of buildings.
We found art in designated Sculpture Gardens.
Sometimes we found art in unlikely places, like in this photo I took of a single orange chair. This seat could be anywhere, offering a view of anything.
We found art that was immediately recognizable by artists who are famous.
We found art that barely looked like art, art that was disguised as a solar panel and wind break.
We found art in fountains.
We found art when we looked up at the sky.
We found art on the sides of buildings, on piers, overlooking the ocean.
We found art in the waiting rooms of the cruise port terminal.
We found art everywhere we went in Seattle.
When we began planning our first ever World Cruise, one of our goals was to see as much art as we could. We also wanted to share as many of our Art and Culture experiences as possible, like a primer on How to Travel the World and Find Art Wherever You Go.
Now, as our World Cruise comes to an end, we reflect on the past five months with deep gratitude. We have indeed traveled the world and discovered art wherever we went. When you search for art, you will find it.
Tomorrow we reach Astoria, Oregon, USA, the last port of call on our World Cruise before we disembark in San Fransisco.
Welcome to my ‘hood!!! Thx for the reminder of how beautiful it is ❤️
Art is everywhere!!! Love this perspective.
